Guoqing Hu is currently in his third year as a Ph.D. candidate at the PEESE lab, Cornell University. He earned his B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University. His research primarily focuses on the application of physics-informed deep learning to model microclimate and crop dynamics within controlled environment agriculture facilities. Additionally, he is exploring the integration of machine learning into automation systems. This dual approach aims to maximize crop yield while simultaneously minimizing energy consumption, aligning with sustainable agricultural practices.
